We hopped an early train to Exeter to see a new town and hit a beer fest. The train trip was easy and went through some pretty scenery. The town has a beautify cathedral in the center of town. The beer fest was a lot of fun. It was set at the local football club, which was a little strange but fun.

We got up and out of the house to the Lizard peninsula. A peninsula that is just a little west of the house and south, the most southern point. We stopped at a couple of small villages along the way and explored some very old churches.

In St Clement the list of Vicars in the church dates back to 1280, the church dates back to the 10th century, and the village dates back to the Roman times. We did a lot of walking around looking at the different tombstones, some date back to the early 1800's.
St Mawes is a castle that sits on the opposite side of the inlet at Falmouth. https://www.flickr.com/photos/128680841@N03/sets/72157650356175670/ |
